The Rosemary Williams Courage Award

On November 30th, 2017 Men Against Breast Cancer awarded the Rosemary Williams Courage Award to Sam Simon, for his work reaching out to and engaging the men in the breast cancer journey.  The award was presented by at the 15th Annual Think Pink and Blue Awards Reception held at the Congressional Country Club in Potomac, Maryland.

Awarded annually, the recognition honors individuals who help put a spotlight on the role of the men in the breast cancer journey.  "Through performance and engagement with audiences, Sam has come to understand that there is a hunger for engagement on this topic."

"We are humbled and honored to receive this recognition," said Simon.  "The real courage is with the millions of woman diagnosed with breast and and who continue to live with that disease."

"We will now recommit ourselves to live up to the vision of Rosemary Williams and the work of Marc and Men Against Breast Cancer as we reach out to the often unacknowledged others in this journey, the love partners of the breast cancer patient.  We take great encouragement as we enter the 5th year of performances in 2018 ."
